PHILOSOPHY & GOALS

Rockies uses the Pyramid Plus model. This approach focuses on positive instruction, giving expectations and supporting positive behavior through reinforcements like verbal praise, stickers, thumbs up, pats on the back, hugs, special jobs, etc. We also focus on giving children calming strategies when they have big emotions, teaching emotional literacy, friendship skills and problem solving strategies to resolve conflicts. 

 

Our goal at Rockies After School Program and Summer Camp is to provide a safe, fun, loving, creative and nurturing environment where each child will grow as individuals. Rockies is dedicated to providing quality daycare that promotes positive interaction between peers, our community and the environment.

 

We provide opportunities for your child’s personal growth, through new and exciting activities, creative outlets, social interaction with peers and community outreach. Through peer interaction and group projects we encourage cooperation, responsibility and respect. Most importantly, children learn how to be a good friend.

At Rockies, we provide opportunities for outdoor activities and nature projects, along with community service, to connect us to our community and our natural world.
