We have finished our first week of emotions and we sure are feeling them all these days! We have been talking specifically about being sad, frustrated, mad and how that can sometimes bring on some big emotions. We are recognizing that it is OK to be sad but as big preschoolers we are learning how to use our words and talk about how we feel instead of just exploding. This is something all of us are capable of and can be held accountable for…we are learning the skills so we should be practicing! Rory and I use a lot of the Rainbow skills to help at home as well because we are definitely also dealing with big emotions at 2 years old. Meredith & I are here if you want to talk with us about how to help your little calm their body and use words instead of a fit/meltdown.
We are slowing down on our back to back activities…saying goodbye to soccer until next year, but we will continue with gymnastics on Wednesdays until it starts to snow and we need to park the bus for the winter! Spanish, Hip-Hop, Storytime and (hopefully back again soon) Yoga will be at Rainbow and is on our google calendar.
Megan sent out an email about our Fall Fundraiser
Last thing!! The last two years, we have had a fall Family Engagement Event at The Covered Bridge Ranch. I am hoping to do the same thing this year as we’ve had a great turnout each year! It would be so awesome to see you all there on 10/12 around 11:00 to get to know some of the other Rainbow Families and see the kids play with their new buddies!
